This Is Not Goodbye

I try never to say goodbye, for I believe in closings not endings. I would like to wish each and everyone of you the best. If you think about it, there is an opposite for everything on this earth. I call them appreciations. How could we appreciate the light if we had never known darkness, or vise versa for darkness can bring as much comfort as light. I ask you to take the time to reflect on all of the opposites you can think of, maybe there after you will gain a new appreciation for those around you, who's opinion differ, who's color is not the same, those who like yourself are seeking acceptance and love. Find tolerance in others, and you will gain peace in your life.

Love,
Tammy*

One of Life's Many Blessings!

This class, our professor, and each of you have touched my life with your stories, faith, ideas, and encouragement. I have prayed and will continue prayer for each of you. To know me you would know that I truly pray for God's best for you. I pray he blesses everyone with more than they would ever expect, and that they return his love and mercy by praying this same prayer for someone else. It has been an honor sharing this class with you! Again, May God Bless you and yours. My blog will remain here just in case you should ever need me. Thank you for touching my life!

What A Night, What A Day!

Last night one of my son's friends was missing. The boys mother pulled up at a local drive-in cursing my son, along with another of his friends, accusing them of knowing where her son ran off to. She threatened them with the police. My son contacted me via phone, and I went over there to be with the kids as they help close the drive-in rest. My son's friends laughed, for O' momma Tam was ready to fight over her big ole' 6'2", 250 lb., 18 year old boy being cursed at! A local policeman friend of mine was on the phone with me as I was in route to the rest. and ask that I calm down so he would not have to arrest me. I told him that if she wished to speak with someone all I was going to do was arrange it to be directly with Jesus, lol! "Not Really." Well after I arrived there, the lady pulled up, with her children, including the missing son in her car. I just sat there, saying nothing, giving a cold stare, then I bowed my head and said a prayer. She apologized to my son and his friend. It's amazing how just when the devil has us worked up, Jesus jumps in and says: Now Tammy how would you have reacted if your son had been missing? Just look at how worked up you got over this, and by the way Tammy if I talk to this woman it should be through the compassion you should show her. Now that's a calm after the storm!

Please Don't Forget To Pray For Joshua & For Professor B's Husband's Uncle

Please don't forget to pray for Joshua. I am still praying that the blood of Jesus will heal this child completely, and he will be blessed to remain here, healed, pain free for many, many more years. Please join me in laying your hands on his picture here on the screen and pray for this child as if he were your child. Also praying for Professor Benenhaley's husband's uncle, for healing and peace. All The Praise, Honor and Glory To Our Savior Jesus!

I'm So Glad We Had This Time To Spend Together

In the words of the great Carol Brunette, I'm so glad we had time to spend together! I think I have recalled that correctly. This trip through Comp II has been a wonderful ride. Now I am preparing for the next Kaplan adventures! I truly wish each of you the very best life has to offer, and ask that you please call on me if you should ever need help. I will always try.

The Final Projects For Comp II

As we near the finish line, I want to tell you that I have enjoyed this class. I wish everyone the very best of luck with their final projects. Some of the final drafts I have read are just awesome! The topics are very interesting, and one can read that many are very close to the heart. I know that each of you have worked so hard on this project and are getting worn to the frazzle, but I feel it will be worth all the effort which has been put forth. See you next post! Remember to keep little Joshua in prayer, and also the Edington family who just lost their teenage son David. Lord, my heart bleeds for them, and Joshua's family too. May God Bless each of you with health, and riches beyond your wildest dreams!

We Have Arrived At Unit 8...Say Yea!

It's hard to believe we have arrived at unit 8, and it's time for term papers! I wish everyone the best of luck with their final drafts. This paper has been a labor of love! Professor B class has been fun and very interesting. Please keep praying for little Joshua. We take so much for granted when we have our health. Also, please keep my son's math teacher Mrs. Edington and her family in prayer as they suffer through this time of mourning. Her son David was killed in an motorcycle accident. Anyone who rides motorcycles, please be extra careful! I realize this could have happen in an auto, or anywhere, but motorcycles are much more dangerous. Thing is, David was not instantly killed, he was air lifted to The University of Tennessee hospital in Knoxville where he passed away. God bless them all.

Praying For Joshua Pleading The Blood of "JESUS" over this child.

PRAISE YOU JESUS! I am asking all of you to join with me in praying for this child, Joshua who is battling stage four cancer. Please click on the link I have posted to learn more about Joshua's fight, and to join me in prayer. No matter how you practice your religion, through prayer, meditation, or lighting candles please, this child needs you to send a positive message for him. I am personally praying for "JESUS CHRIST" to cover him with his healing blood and completely heal this child, for I KNOW IT CAN BE DONE! JESUS can raise the dead, make the blind see, and he can heal this child and leave him here many more years for his family to enjoy time with. JESUS, JESUS, JESUS, JESUS, JESUS PRAISE BE TO JESUS! I am on a HOLY GHOST, power trip people, and I am not ashamed! I know his power, and have been blessed by his mercy, and love!
Glory!

I Keep On Trying

I feel like Trace Atkins song: "I Keep On Tryin." Some of the words are: "There's always a mountain in front of me, seems I'm always climbin', then fallin', but I keep on tryin'. These past few days in Comp II have been that way for me. Since I have began to feel better, I see the work I first submitted, and think... What world was I in? LOL! Lord I just hope Professor serves mercy on us all as she grades our work! I am trying so hard to maintain my 4.0 GPA, but you know, I would rather have an honest B or C and know I did my best and really learned, than have an A given to me where I knew nothing.

Tammy's Sunday Times Press

At 2:09 AM EST Tammy Barker realized Saturday that her unit 6 projects for Composition II were not correctly submitted. As of this morning she resubmitted the projects and is praying for a positive grade outcome, so that you will not be reading her obituary, lol! Here's wishing you bright and sunny days this week! May God bless each of you.

Ultrasound of Grand baby!

Yesterday I had the opportunity to see my new grand baby for the first time! We were all so excited! The doctor kept trying to see what gender the baby was, but the little tot would not move into a position where it could be determined. O' well, another ultrasound in two weeks and hopefully we'll know then. My son has found himself a good girl. She is the sweetest young lady you could ever hope to meet. My son is a good young man.

Unit 7 Is Here

Wow, can you believe that we are at unit 7? Unit 6 was a struggle for me because I was sick this past week, but I am better now. Trying to make sure I have everything completed to move forward with unit 7. On top of everything, one of my son's also came home sick from school this past week.

After reading Carisa's blog

After reading fellow classmate Carisa's blog I realized something about baby blues. I have sons ages 18, 15 and 5 years old. The last time I had the baby blues over my children growing up was in Jan. '04, then by Dec. 1, 2004 I had "Boss" (Heath) my youngest. Then I got those baby blues again when he began Pre-K this past year, then by Christmas I found out that I am going to become a grand-momma' in Sept.! I have become a little afraid of the baby blues now, LOL! I love my children, grand baby and new daughter more than words could ever express! As I always tell them: I love you better than anything next to God & Jesus. That is placing God and Jesus above all which I believe we should, then everything else will fall into place.

"Slience Is Golden" Story by Tammy Barker about Big Nanny

Silence Is Golden
One day following the F-5 child tornado that hit the toy room of our home, I was fussing about the mess and having to clean it up when from down our hall a north Georgia wind calmly blew across the Tennessee line into the room. It was Big Nanny Spurgeon, superior nanny as we lovingly referred to her. She stood quietly in the doorway for a few moments, listening to my ranting and raving, and with her southern twang she said: "You know you should not be picking up the mess in this room, get those children to do it. On judgment day do you think you will be allowed to stand before God and answer for them? How will they ever learn if you do everything for them? They must answer for what they have done themselves, and learn that when you play you pay. Cleaning this room is their job not yours. They must learn to control themselves just as you must learn to control your temper, for in one flash of temper all the good you have worked toward is gone, then you must work twice as hard to redeem yourself." She went on to say: "One day you will pick this room up for the last time, one day you will walk by this room and it will be perfectly clean every day, and then on that day you will find yourself all alone wondering where it all went and thinking how fast it all slipped by." I stood in front of her like the child I was over 40 years ago. I was speechless and I am never without words, searching for a rebuttal like an attorney pleading a case, but nothing came. All I could do was soak in what she had said and think to myself that again in my life she had spoke the truth with love, and was correct. I kept thinking, thinking about what all she had seen in life, the jobs she and pop had worked, the prayers they had prayed, the homes they lived in, the firewood she and pop had brought in to keep those homes warm and the nine children they raised, without a toy room. It was then I realized that silence really is golden.

Today we join in as Tammy laDawn continues to battle her stinking cold. We are down to just productive coughing and headache. Of course the productive coughing is as annoying as my gaining my voice back to again pass out orders throughout the home front! Tune in Sunday as the count down to wellness has begun.

I Hate Having A Head Cold!

The definition of a head cold taken from the dictionary of Tammy Barker, lol! Head cold: An awful, crappy, just plain sucking feeling. From Tammy's MD, lol! Complications of a head cold: Children, husbands, wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, homework, work, co-workers, classmates, teachers, life in general.
Did I mention that I hate being sick? Lol!

Hello To A New Day!

Hello new day, happy to see you! A beautiful sky, a hint of warmth in the air, the smell of sping just around the corner. Enjoy each day and all that it has to offer for we are not promised our next breath. Find the sun through the clouds, and the peacefullness listening to the rain can bring. Call a friend or family member for your words may be their saving grace that day, offer your pennies to the begger on the street with a greatful heart for sharing the blessings you have, for you may be the next one standing there. Give thanks for everything in your life, believe in something larger than yourself and remember that the faith of a mustard seed can move mountains, if you know who owns the equipment store. Love one another.

A New Day!

Whew! What a week mine has been. Busy, full of travel, managing children and school into it all. I am a bit more relaxed with school as this week begins. You know you get out of life what you put into it, and I intend to put my best foot forward. I hope you enjoy my blog! Jesus is my savior, without him I'd be lost. God allmignty is my father.
